My name is Andrew Fenney and I am the principal of Design Eden.
I am involved in the design and installation of gardens both for commercial and domestic clients, working mainly in the southern counties of England from Cornwall to Kent and in the South of France and Spain.
I started to design and install gardens over twelve years ago and, I was the MD of a medium sized garden design and installation company. This was an offshoot of the Architectural Design Partnership of which I was the senior partner.
Having been at the management end of business for many years, I now find my greatest pleasure is being involved with projects at the inception stage and I revel in being back to the basics of simple design.
My great love and influence is Japanese style gardens although I also design and install traditional and Mediterranean gardens. I am influenced from Japan by both traditional and modern designs and can prepare schemes to meet the most challenging of clients briefs.
Recently in 2009 I was part of the initial team to put forward a scheme to produce alterations to the grounds of Chiddingstone Castle, Chiddingstone, Kent to introduce into the grounds a new Japan Stroll Garden, Tea garden and dedicated Cherry Tree Orchard.

I am a committed member of the Japanese Garden Society and have given talks to the members on my understanding of this style of garden and installations.
