This unusual Fusen-no-Tsukubai (Double Zenigata ) water basin is carved from one piece of solid G603 Salt and Pepper granite. It is drilled through to facilitate bottom feed of water to the basin. Based on the famous Sanunjo Tsukubai in Kyoto and from the Edo era. The Bosen tea room of Kohoan is one of the most prominent of all tea rooms in Japan and is featured in many books on the subject.
