Product details and features
Rakusui paper (rakusui paper) is a type of washi paper that allows you to enjoy the natural patterns created by dripping water droplets.
Made in Tokushima Prefecture, hemp rakusui paper is made using a technique called "rakusui," which involves dripping water onto the paper and creating small holes in the paper, creating a lace-like watermark.
Because the appearance changes depending on the amount of water and the angle at which it is dripped, no two pieces are alike, making it a "special washi paper" with no two identical patterns.
The watermarked pattern is light and airy like lace, yet sturdy and durable. Its wide range of uses include wrapping bouquets and gifts, interior decorations such as lampshades and partitions, and craft materials.
Because the paper contains long hemp fibers, its appearance changes softly when light passes through it, creating a soft and gentle atmosphere. Its durability and ease of use make it an ideal washi paper for delicate screens, handmade projects and DIY projects.
