Machiai Shelter 6ft x 4ft Oak or Softwood Framed - other sizes available
This Machiai is green oak or softwood framed with white painted plywood panels. The Oak is left in a oiled finish but could also be supplied as a black stain
A Machiai is a waiting and resting shelter. Typically a rustic structure with a pent roof, three walls and an open front where guests rest while waiting their turn to be called to the tea house to participate in a tea ceremony. It is also used to relax during intervals between tea ceremonies.
The pricing is subject to your own requirements and is an indication only. The teahouse is supplied sectional and would require some DIY fixing
The framing is traditional mortice and tenon construction and each teahouse is assembled and marked by our joiner before dispatch.
This Machai illustrated has bamboo detailing on the open sides, however these can also be enclosed as per the drawing
Any size can be made
A full base and erection service is available, however, this price is for supply only
UK mainland delivery is available, this product can be exported.
