The 100 mm core creates a substantial cavity capable of becoming a small water basin, planting pocket or rain-catching depression. Depending upon the stone's dimensions, the bore can be drilled vertically into the upper surface to create a surprisingly natural-looking hollow. A controlled depth allows the cavity to retain water without compromising the structural integrity of the boulder. Filled naturally by rain, or supplied from a discreet water system, it can become a small focal point within a gravel, moss or planting composition. The contrast between the precision of the circular drilling and the irregular geological surface gives each stone a distinctive, almost archaeological quality.
Various sizes are costed - We shall provide an image of the stone for approval prior to drilling and confirm the cost.
The stone is delivered on pallet to hard standing and larger stones 800-1000mm will require machinery such as a forklift to position in your garden.
You will need a suitable pump and reservoir, we can discuss this with you
