EVO FLOOD

The EVO FLOOD is the latest addition to the in-lite® EVO range, introduced in December 2025. Designed to provide broad, understated illumination, it produces an exceptionally wide beam of approximately 5.5 × 10 metres.

The soft-edged beam makes the EVO FLOOD particularly effective for illuminating rendered walls, garden structures, long hedges and larger areas of planting, where a conventional spotlight would produce a narrower pool of light. Its asymmetric light distribution helps to direct illumination towards the subject while minimising unwanted glare.

An adjustable bracket provides up to 250° of tilt, allowing the beam to be positioned precisely where it is needed. The fitting can also be installed in a number of different ways, making it suitable for both landscape and architectural applications.

Installation options

Ground installation
For soft ground or gravel, the EVO FLOOD can be secured using the two supplied ground stakes. This allows the fitting to remain adjustable and makes it straightforward to reposition the light if the garden develops or planting changes.

Surface mounting
For stone, paving, timber or other solid surfaces, the supplied feet, screws and plugs allow the fitting to be surface mounted. This provides considerable flexibility, including floor, wall and ceiling installation.

Recessed installation
The EVO FLOOD can also be recessed directly into the ground using the supplied mounting plates. These slide down the sides of the fitting during installation, helping to protect the housing from scratching while securing it firmly in position.

When recessed in this way, however, the fitting is not adjustable, so the direction of the light needs to be determined during installation.

in-lite® low-voltage system

Like other in-lite® low-voltage fittings, the EVO FLOOD uses an LED with an expected lifetime of approximately 25,000 hours. The fitting is covered by a five-year warranty when used as part of the in-lite® system.

Connection is made using the supplied EASY-LOCK connector, which allows the fitting to be connected at any convenient point along the in-lite® CBL cable. The push-fit connection makes installation straightforward, while CBL-EXT CORD extensions can be used to extend the cable between the EASY-LOCK and fitting by up to 3 metres.

Calculating system capacity

When designing an in-lite® lighting system, the total load should be calculated using the VA rating of the fittings rather than simply adding their wattage. This takes account of power losses within the low-voltage system.

The combined VA load of all connected fittings should not exceed the maximum capacity of the selected in-lite® transformer.

The EVO FLOOD is therefore particularly useful where a broad wash of light is required rather than a concentrated spotlight, making it a strong choice for larger walls, hedges and architectural features within a Japanese garden.
