A 50 mm core in our Water Worn Stone concept provides a useful intermediate scale between a simple water outlet and a substantial stone basin. Drilled vertically or at an angle, it can create a convincing natural cavity while retaining sufficient stone around the opening. The bore could hold water, accommodate planting, or form part of a recirculating water feature. Its usefulness lies in its versatility: the same basic stone can be specified for several applications depending on drilling depth and position. A rough, naturally fractured exterior contrasts with the precision of the core-drilled opening, creating the aesthetic tension between natural geology and deliberate human intervention characteristic of a carefully considered Japanese garden.

Various sizes are costed - We shall provide an image of the stone for approval prior to drilling and confirm the cost.

The stone is delivered on pallet to hard standing and larger stones 800-1000mm will require machinery such as a forklift to position in your garden.
